Get ready for a spooky October as we read The Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe as part of The Big Read in Martinsville and Henry County. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences and Arts Midwest. This year’s book is sure to tingle the spines of readers throughout our area. We hope to see you at the “horrifying” kick off to this month–long celebration! You'll also be treated to a look at our exhibit, Poe's Playground, which features work inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s life, his art and the places he haunted during his lifetime.
